3 shot and killed at gas stations in Charleston, Wva.<br /><br />2 at Go-Marts and one at Speedway.<br /><br />Dark color ext. cab truck with an overweight white male driving.

I have always said, it should be against the law to have windows in an automobile that you cannot see through. And I thought that a couple of years ago they did enforce such a law for a short while, and I recall in the news of the highway patroll giving summons to persons with blacked out windshields, but "WHOT HOPPENEND??!!", here now, we have a sniper running around in a blacked out vehicle. There are those that will say no, but some things have to be considered for safty, such as yelling fire in a theater, there had better be a fire.

lakeman1999, relax, they're still enforcing that law. Police have a little meter that measures the amount of light that passes thru a window, if it doesn't pass, the ticket is written. <br /><br />The law does allow for factory tinted windshields and the strip across the top, and allow a very light tinting on the front side windows. <br /><br />Back side, and rear windows can be tinted, or obstructed by moving boxes, or stuffed animals, or stickers that say baby on board, as you are not required to have rear windows. My cargo van has 3 windows in the front, none in the back.

I know here in upper SC, I have seen some lately that would not pass their test, and have not heard anything about it latly, but at one time the local news commented on it often.

The way that particular law works, for Michigan, in relation to the back window and being obstructed, is the vehicle must be equipped with side mirrors on both sides. Also the rear side windows can only be darkened to a certain level while the back window can be completely blacked out. This is what I was told about 3 years ago when I received a ticket for my windows being tinted, on the vehicle when I bought it. The law may have changed but thats how it was.
