Motor and outdrive identification -

Thanks for looking. I am new to boating and am looking for some info on the I/O for this boat. Can some one out there identify this motor and outdrive for me. The boat is an 86 Imperial CV230. Thanks for your time

looks to me like a mercruiser 470 version engine w/ an alpha1 drive..

if your looking at the fuel pump. to the left of it and about in line with the bottom of the fuel pump bowl. you should find a s/n tag.

your best bet would be to get service manual #8, confirm proper manual by s/n + get #6 for the drive. ebay, mercruiser are a couple of places ya can get the s/m..
