Man I’m new here, I have a 95 Johnson Fast strike 150 the motor has a hard time idling seems to flood itself out . It runs great if I take off as soon as I start it,but when going to a smaller lake that’s idle only it’s a real pain cause it keeps dying out.

What trouble shooting have you done so far ?-----Without more information it is hard to help you.---How long have you owned this boat ?----Could be as simple as some water in the gas or a bad sparkplug.

Considering it runs well at speed I will think it has to do with the carbs...if not done yet, consider a complete tune up...but first..check for fuel line leaks..an/or make sure the tank is venting. Next best thing is adjust the idle mixture screws...but really you should start from scratch. Maybe even rebuild the carbs.

It is in line with the body I did notice a lot of gas and oil on the air box when I took it off. I’ll start it up tomorrow and see if there are any leaks
