Motor Guide Lazer 2 52 rf

I have a motorguide Lazer2 52rf . It seems to loose all function after using it for an hour or so sometimes more sometimes less. It is about 15 years old and has a remote foot pedal. Is this common with these? Is it worth fixing? Or is it time to buy a new one?

Does the motor have an auto-reset circuit breaker in the positive lead close to the positive terminal of the battery. If so, that circuit breaker is opening due to excess current draw, and when it cools it resets and then works again. The more it does this, the more the breaker degrades until fails fully. If that's not the issue, remove the prop and check for fish line wrapped tightly around the motor shaft
