I have an early 2000s 4300 (43 pound thrust and 12v) motor guidetrolling motor that suddenly stopped working. I was running the trolling motor on high for about 10 mins and then stopped once i arrived at a new fishing spot. Only a minute later when i went to use it again, there was no thrust. I pulled the trolling motor out of the water, and saw the prop was barely rotating. The battery was good because I was able to use it on a back up trolling motor, and I do not believe there is a fuse in the boat wiring to the trolling motor (2003 bass tracker 16 panfish). The top crowling of the motor did feel warm. I attached a picture of the wires, and it appears there could be a bad connection in the blue wire. Could this be causing my problem, or is there any other ideas anyone has? Trolling motor was working perfectly just before this happened.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I think you found your problem. Remove that burn connection(s) and clean the wires and connect them back together. Probably work again. And do it to both the charred connections..
