I have 14ft.6 gullwing Sea Nymph and a '84 90hp. Johnston motor. Where should the decavitation plate be in relation to the bottom of the hull.Should it be level with the bottom of the v or up level with the planing surface -v- Thanks
It should be at or very near the bottom of the boat at the transom. The usual procedure is to start low and raise it one notch at a time until it starts to ventilate in turns. Then drop it one notch for it's permanent position.
I agree with Jack....also keep in mind different props may change results at a certain heighth as well. I say this incase you may have more props that you may run under different circumstances.<br />Good luck!
