I finally got my faststrike at forwardair but the darn thing has a big red barrel plug. It's supposed to be a '96 but the model # is j115gleoc indicating a '95. What is the likelyhood that someone swapped midsections of a 92 or earlier?
Maybe they just swapped electricals, is there any way to tell besides the model number? I did not see any deutsch type connectors anywhere. What do you guys think?

I think it'd be easier to follow this under one thread.

Those 2 motors were basically the same in 96 and 95 other than the harness.

hello
look close. the 95 and upJ/E's used duetchse connectors not red plugs. however there was an adapter made about a ft or solong that would plug intothe 95 connectors(located on the port head under a plastic cover) that would adapt the motor to the 94 and ealier ign harness. maybe they left the adapter in place.
