That is the 9.9 15 HP model engine but the with the older style mid section of the 18 / 20 / 25 hp models.----Marketed as a " commercial " model for a few years to get rid of older parts stock.-----The propeller you need is determined by the boat that you are going to put this motor on.----What boat are fitting this motor on ?

It is MARKETED as a 14 HP-----But it is the 9.9 / 15 HP powerhead !!!-----Uses an adapter to use " old stock " 18 / 20 / 25 HP mid sections out of a warehouse to clear old inventory.----Pretty simple stuff to me.

ok but I could recommend the best propeller or propeller to mount the Jhonson engine in a 4-meter zodiac inflatable boat

Correct the spelling on the name of the motor.-----What pitch is the HELIX on the motor now.-----Any numbers on it ?------With 1 person in the boat 9"X10"-------With 3/4 people go for 9"X9" prop.

Is that a non through hub old style prop ? If those props are not available, you're fried. How loaded, number of passengers do you plan going boating with ?

Happy Boating

??----Correct ----The older 18 / 20 / 25 HP midsection / lower unit did NOT have through hub exhaust.----And why would you think those props are not available ?

Neither one is correct.-------Do you not have a boat shop that can assist you in selecting a prop to fit the 18 / 20 / 25 Hp lower unit on that motor ???----This is really puzzling on how you are trying to find a prop !!!

The truth is, my friend, that there is no boat shop in my city and I just bought this engine and its engine is damaged, so I would like to change it for a new one and also damaged good engine maintenance. I write from Talca, Chile. greetings and thank you very much for your help

I will be short and blunt.----Your motor does not have an exhaust system through the hub on the prop.------I have stated clearly that you should be looking for the helix for an 18 / 20 / 25 / even 28 HP model.-----Likely with a spline to drive it.-----Or look for the helix with the FACTORY parts diagram for the 14 HP model that is easy to find online.-----Good luck with your search.----The factory part # you want is 0763585.

Whatever you do KEEP IT. These are rare and in demand by those in the know. I have used the 15's extensively and they are great but the lower unit was overbuilt, I believe so that is would fit bigger powerheads and save money on production of more than 1 lower unit that could fit many different engines. That lower unit makes the outboard more heavy that it needs to be. These are fairly rare outboards. In the sane world 2 strokes are still being produced because in portable models they are superior to 4 stroke. Suzuki now makes a 15 2 stroke that is unbelievably light, more easy to work on than any portable ever made and tough. We can not get them here because of radical eco-nuts. This motor you have would be a perfect motor to be rebuilt if that service is available or do it yourself. There is a UTUBE video that has a young girl rebuilding one of these.

123------The motor in this thread is marketed as a 14 HP commercial and does NOT have the 15 HP through the hub exhaust lower unit!-----Come on now the 15 HP models are not rare, at least not in my neighborhood.----That 14 HP model could be considered rare.

I know that. Even you said in a thread one time that the 9.5 had a rubber hub. Do any of those older non-thru hubs have a rubber spline hub so not to break shear-pins? Thru hub exhaust is no big deal as far as I'm concerned. I'd like to find one of these 14's locally, but have never even seen one but hundreds of 9.9's/15's.
