Motor pod Installation

I recently purchased an old Lowe pontoon boat. I'm turning it into a floating tiki hut but.. The motor pod is trashed and I found a used one (not oem) that is the same length and looks like it will install rather easily. I have it hung on the boat but have a few questions. One, the transom angle seems to be tilted a bit more than the old one, Two, It only catches two of the crossmenbers for bolt up, the old one bolted to three. The new pod stops just a bit short of the most foward crossmember. Is the angle on the transom compensated for by the adjustment pin on the engine mounting bracket, and are 2 crossmembers enough support for the 88 horse Evinrude. Thanks :)
