I checked iBoats and they don't carry the Mercury 20 HP ELH (electric start/20" shaft) motors, don't know why but that is what I want.
So who has the hot prices right now for one????

I found one dealer with a new 2015 at a good price but was informed that Mercury will not allow him to ship and suggested a Honda. I don't know about that.

Many stores cannot list everything they sell in a web site.

Have you tried email / calling them directly - to inquire if your wanted item is special order?

Just wondering...

Yes, I emailed the one dealer and was told they could not ship the motors from Mercury at all.
Update I also emailed iBoats and other dealers/sites for pricing information. I may not get much back this time of the year but we will see. I find it hard to believe that Mercury will not allow some dealers to ship their motors but I ran into a second one already.

Trying to keep from being struck down by the mods - PM sent

Will say I used to drool over a 50hp Tohatsu at a certain website, then they quit shipping anything that was over a certain hp or remote to anyone but a dealer. Now I guess my only hope for a repower is from CL.

I have sent out many emails. So far all I got back is cannot ship to you and cannot order loose motors.

I bet they cant ship as Merc wants you to go to a dealer near you. If you shop online chances are you will only buy the motor. Drop by the dealer and see what else you need with that new motor....

Ken, at the top of the screen check your messages.

Not sure how hot the prices are but take a look.

Did that, could not respond there for some reason. I saw them earlier and they are at retail so I only save the sales tax and shipping. Better than nothing I suppose.

I'm assuming the dealer mentioned in your OP is further away than is feasible for you to road trip to.

Yes, I found two dealers, local PU only, but they are both on the east coast while I am in AZ

Look at other motors at local dealers. Merc isn't the only motor that fits your needs is it? This time of year, a sale is a sale as long as you buy from stock.

Only one local dealer here, the r rest are well over 100 miles away. Nobody shows what I want in stock but it's that time of the year.

100 miles is nothing. I crossed 3 states for my searay because it was $5k less than local. heck, I drive 100 miles a day just two and from work. I say load up the car, bring a cooler of drinks and make a road trip.

I wish it was that easy for me. I have a very bad back and I am lucky I can still use my small boat. I cannot drive far (250 miles or so in a day0 that I need time to recover. Old injury to the back from the Army Had surgery a couple of times but it seems with the back that you fix one thing and another happens due to the surgery. Oh well, early this AM I went ahead and ordered my new 20 with electric start and power trim as it was also very hard tor me with the old injury to lift the motor when I came into the shallows. What the hell, it's only money, we only live once. and it's Xmas. Enjoy yours.

For future reference, there are a number of online dealers that do mail order Mercury sales. I just googled Merc 20 ELH and found several in the $3100 $3300 price range. I bought my last new OB online - got a good price, plus free shipping and no sales tax. It came FedEx home and the whole transaction went smoothly.
