Motor Runs then dies in about 5 seconds

I have a 7.5 hp Mercury. I'm not sure of the year but the ser. # is 3628002. My problem is the motor will only start in full throttle and in gear but dies in about 5 seconds. The carb has been rebuilt and the fuel pump has been replaced. I have spark at the plugs. I'm not sure what to look for next.

This motor does have a kill switch on it. It is just a push botton to stop the motor.

Make sure you have proper ventilation at your fuel tank ....
