Motor sat for many years. What to look at before starting?

Just bought a boat where the 75H Merc (1986 era) moror has been sitting for a number of years. Any suggestions on things to do to it?<br /><br />In the plan so far..<br /><br />-Water pump<br />-Plugs<br />-maybe run some seafoam in tank<br />-lower unit oil<br /><br />others?<br /><br />Thanks!!

Personally I'd do a compression check 1st than strip and clean the carbs too-check the fuel pump diaphragm just to be sure.

Squirt a little outboard oil in the cylinders.
