motor shut down

hey i have a 04 225 vmax ran verry good yesterday but this mourning took off went two miles it just shut down. got it back on trailer checked all fuses getting fire looks like getting gas.it will turn over fine. dont know what to look at now. thanks

check fuel rail pressure or at least listen to the VST while someone turns the key to the on position and see if the pump whines.
also drain a sample from the VST and check for water.

thanks do not hear a whinneing noise. where is the electric fuel pump located i see the three black fuel boxes

get it to a dealer rapidly and hope its not water.
no fuel boxes on that motor.

sorry did not mean fuel boxes there are three black diapham fuel pumps and not sure what the vst is and where it is or how you check it for water thank you

Sounds like it would be a good idea for you to pick up a Yamaha Service Manual for you motor if you want to work on it, or do a lot of searching and reading on the forum.
