Motor swap help

I am swapping motors, from a 1998 Johnson 90hp SPL to a 1994 Johnson 112 SPL.. The wiring doesn't match. Last year I replaced the start/shifter on the 90, just before it lost compression in #3 cylinder. I'm hoping to use the new start /shifter with the 112. The wiring harness from the 112 has a single red plug going to the shifter, where as the 90 has 2 individual connectors. I looked online at new start/shifters for the 112 but they look no different that the one I have for the 90. Not sure what to do.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
