I just bought a 83 G/W Trophy 25 with twin 2.6L OMC Sea Drives. I want to replace the engines with later model engines. I have heard that you can remove the mount and TnT, and bolt some Johnsons to the Sea Drive bracket. Any one have any info on this? Any information would really help.

Will Johnson part numbers for like and kind parts be the same? I was hoping to get into the mid 90's with a Johnson.....maybe dreaming. I haven't picked up the boat yet, it's in Fl, and I'm in TX. Going to get it next weekend. Any thoughts on the Sea Drive its self? Thanks for any input.

You should be able to bolt some updated mtrs to the Sea Drive brackets but the TnT is in the bracket itself. Recommend you do a lot of research on this before trying it. You may also just want to repair what you have and go from there. Probably be cheaper.

You are probably right. As I said in my last post, I haven't picked up the boat yet. I know both motors don't run. I guess I'm hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.
