Motor swap- will control cables match ?

I am considering buying a 1997 model 120 HP Tracker ( Mercury) engine and swapping out my 2003 90 HP Mercury that is currently on the pontoon boat. The 120 does not come with control cables. Anybody know if my current control cables hooked to the 90 hp will work on the 120 HP ??

Gee, I would think so, provided both motors are Mercury and not Force. I use my '77 Merc control cables on my '93 Merc. The electric was a lot different.
