motor swap

i have a bass tracker panfish with a 1988 25 hp mercury would it be worth the trouble to swap the engine out for a 1988 35 hp mercury ? what kind of speed increase would i get ?

1st is the boat rated to take the 35hp. if the motor is reasonably in price, i would do it. better hole shot, any where from 5 - 10 mph, depending on trim and engine height.

the boat is rated for a 40 hp motor.

if i pick up 10 mph that would be great.

imho, you can"t have enough HP, you just don't have to use it all.
