motor swap

hi i was wondering if it was possible to take a 115 hp omc outboard powerhead and stick a 150 hp omc powerhead on the lower unit. THe reason that i am asking is because i have a turbo jet on a fourwinns fling. I have the pump but the motor is missing and i was wondering what motor i could put on it any help would be greatly appreciated. THanks jake

a 150 v4 is probbebly a looper and a 115 v4 must be a crossflow so i dont think its gonna fit but ask the pro's<br /><br /><br />reeldutch

The only direct bolt up is another V4 crossflow. You want one from 1979 or newer. A couple other years will fit but you want to stay with the larger center main crankshaft.
