Lots of folks use a device called a Transom Saver to secure motor to the trailer to prevent motor from bouncing and moving around while trailering. The motor tilt lock device is not generally strong enough to take the beating while trailering. I've used Transom Saver for many years and they work very well. Transom Savers are sold in Overton's, Cabela's, on-line, other places for about $35, give or take. Good Luck!when trailering my boat to the ramp what should i do about the motor, their is a bracket on the motor to keep it in the up position, but i was told it is for the mechanic. what do other people do?
