When I try to shift this 125 mercury (1995) outboard into reverse it will engage but will not hold (or stay in) the gear. It feels like it simply won't snap into gear. I have completely disassembled teh lower unit and cannot find any sings of wear. The pinion cam does not show signs of wear but could this still be my problem? Please help.
