i have a 35hp johnson and i need to know the year can anyone help the seral no. is 1901359

Need the model #<br />Look on the plate where found the ser #<br /><br />Or on top of the powerhead (Round silver disc)

on the plate were i found the number on top it said model no. under the number it said serail no. i also have these no that came of the motor the number off the head is 303706 and the other number came off the frize plug 35018 and 02224 i hope this help and someone can help?

The freezeplug number is a 1960 Evinrude 40hp, but the serial is definitely Johnson, probably 1958 or 1959 (only 35hp years that will take a 40hp powerhead). Someone has done a little switching and swapping. The Johnson model number should be RD-something. Most carb kits, ignition parts and lower unit seal kits cover a number of models and years and will likely be the same whether you go for the 35 or 40hp part...<br />- Scott
