Motorguide bow mount problem

I have a 95 Motorguide 750 on my new to me Procraft 180 combo. The problem is that it steers way to easily. Any little wave that hits the boat shifts the motor and foot control. I checked a parts diagram to see if there was some type of adjustment to add some resistance, but I either missed it or there isn't one.

Any body know a way to make the steering firmer?
