motorguide directional indicator

Hello my directional arrow on my motor doesn't line up at all with the way the boat is actually going is there a way to adjust this

Most trolling motors can be adjusted. With my Pinpoint, it is just a matter of putting your hand on the arrow and moving it to where you want. I "think" that is how it was when I had a Motorguide too.

I have a motor guide brute on the PoS boat that I just bought and currently restoring. Long story short...mine has the dial that is made inside of the housing. There are 3 screws in bottom, take these off and then you can lift the top off and access the gears...then just aim it properly, put it back together.<br />Hope this helps a bit.<br /><br />This site is great for all of us just getting into owning a boat. <br /><br />I'm sure I will have a crapload more questions as I am in the early stages of restoring.

I was wondering which model motorguide you have? I Need a picture or scematics to replace a resistor for a brute 50.
