Motorguide motor replacement

I have a motorguide w55 wireless tm and the plastic head on the motor has a crack in it and the motor was filled with water so the motor will need to be replaced. I can order the motor assembly over the internet but my question is how is the motor attached to the graphite shaft and how do you get it off?

Well as a W45 owner, I'm not happy to hear that damage to that plastic piece on the front will lead to a leak and a wasted motor.

I'd expect they use some form of epozy on the shaft motor connection. Call MG tech support and see what they say. I'd be interested in the response, so please post back.
