I have a Motorguide Digital Tour Edition 24volt 82lb 9BT42GAAF {2007 Model}
Due to a water leak in the lower unit I replaced the Brush Card Assembly, on/off foot pedal button, potentiometer {controls the variable speed dial}and was able to seal the transducer cover to stop the leak.
My ongoing problem before and after these repairs is the speed adjustment dial {on Momentary On}only works if it is turned nearly all the way up to max. Thus there is little range of speed. My {Constant On} setting is not adjustable either,mainly high speed only. My {High Bipass}speed setting works ok.
I have run out of ideas as the Motorguide Repair guy said the new Potentiometer and Brush Card ASSEMBLY SHOULD FIX MY PROBLEM.
tHE ONLY THING WE HAVE NOT CHANGED IN THE FOOT PEDAL IS THE SPEED SWITCH{MOMENTARY ON, CONSTANT ON, HIGH Bypass ASSEMBLY} and on off switch.
Any suggestions????????????????????
