I'm new to the forum and was hoping the collective knowledge could help me out. I have had a motorguide W75 trolling motor since 2010 installed on my Bayliner 184 ski/fish. I love the thing and how powerful it is so I kind of compromised a little on the other nuisances until now. First, during steering adjustments, it sounds like a burro. I listen to all other motors and none of them are as loud. The burro is actually its nickname. Out of the box, it has always had the same sound. Has anyone had the same problem and if so how was it resolved? Second, is the interference issue causing it to start tuning on its own. Is this a characteristic of motorguide motors? Nothing on their site about it.
