I'm going to bring it home on a pallet in the back of my pickup. To get it from there to my transom I have one other guy, plus my teen son, to help.

Is that enough ? Dry weight is supposed to be 238Lbs. with no remote control. Should I arrange for another guy to help ? Other than dropping it, what cautions can you guys give me ? Yes, I'm paying the guy w/beer (Not my son, the other guy...) (He wants a 12 pack of Hefeweizen)

Heck I'll do it for that beer. That should be enough. It will be heavy but 3 should be plenty. Thats 80lbs. each.

Three may can handle. Borrowing a cherry picker from one of the local hotrodders would be a lot easier.

Cherry pickers work great for this but before I had one me and 2 other "average build" guys had no issues mounting a 330# 90hp evinrude on the back of my boat. We all lifted it and let the motor hang on the transom by the transom hooks on the motor and put the 2 slotted lower bolt holes bolts in loosely. Next the other 2 guys balanced it while I used a floor jack with a 2x4 on top under the skeg to lift it to the desired mounting holes and put the other 2 bolts in.
