Hey everyone, just looking for some advice to mount my kicker.
I just picked up an adjustable bracket rated for 20hp
My boat is a ~1980 Bayliner 14' powered by an 85hp Evinrude
Now I would like to mount it on the port side as close to the cut out as I can, and definitely inside of where that tie down is if possible, I don't want to have to move that or the fuse box that's on the inside there if possible. Also above and outboard of that tie down is my hull number which I should probably avoid covering I imagine. I would like to be able to keep the main engine down to act as a rudder as I troll.
Now I've roughly sized it up; haven't been able to mock it up without a second person to hold the kicker/bracket, but if I put it there I think I'll have possible interference issues between the two motors if they are both down.
So my question is what would you guys say would be the best course of action? Or is my boat just too small/narrow for a second engine?
