Looks like I'll be mounting my new twin 150's on my 24' Grady this weekend :D . I've got the old style Grady bracket and there's a lot of weight back there too; oil reserviors, batteries and a swim platform. I'm guessing it's got 26"-28" of set back. With all this weight back there, do I still follow the 5:1 ratio...1" up for every 5" back? Thanks for your help.

The 1" up for every 5" back will be close provided that the X dimension was correct for the props you were using and youre going to use the same ones. Or at least the same style / brand.

I believe they're ss 14 x 17. Both are standard rotation lower units. Thanks a lot for the clarification.
