I dropped a 4.7 mercruiser rebuild in my 310 SeaRay yesterday but could not quite get the rear of one front mount to line up. Thunderstorm cam and forklift had to leave. Any tip on how to slight lift and shift motor to get it lined up? I was thing a floor jack under or a 4 x 4 accord gunwales. Any tips would be appreciated

The motor use to sit just fine and now it doesn't ?
If this is the case the hull is in a twist.

With the rear mount bolts in place, lift the front. Not seeing a 4.7 but can find 4.5. In any case try to raise from the front center

Thanks for the feedback guys. Lots of typos in my post - sorry about that. It is a 5.7 and it was the rear mounts. It turns out that even though I thought I was careful the springs both shifted out and blocked the holes. I used a video probe to look and figure it out. I did use a scissor jack on the back of the motor to lift it and put the springs back in tight. All is good now!

I never heard of 4.7? I believe that you have a MC I/O? If so, I had major issues aligning my back mounts too. My fishing buddy didn't like the idea of 600+ lbs of iron and aluminum hanging over his head as I lowered motor with coffin hoist . We kept dislodging leather washers and heavy springs. I suspect you did too. We ended up using contact cement on leather washers and my buddy didn't get into motor area until motor was almost on back mounts. It worked! You can sandwich a couple of 2x6s on edge (no nots) on gunwales and jury rig a Heavy Duty duty turn buckle to boards to lift front of motor several inches. We used a coffin hoist to set motor and then a turn buckle to raise and lower front of motor to align. Of course you will need to make some chain attachment (bridle) if you don't have lifting lugs on motors. I used 3/8" chain. Hope your gunwales are strong! My motors set below deck. If you have an engine box you may have to build or rent an A frame, since you may not have vertical lift room. This aint rocket science, because I was able to solve it.
