can i do this if i change the exhaust adapter plates on top of the exahust inner tubes? will it then fit? will my 235 electronics work on the 200hp block?

ok i finnally got this 200 running nicely. now my transom currently has a 20" shaft on the top most hole on the plate. if i take my 25" 200 and slap it on the bottom most hole, will this work?
