I have a 19p stainless prop on my boat. I can find out the diameter, I am just not certain the best way to measure? I can grab all the numbers off of it and maybe that will tell me?
I can get this SS 14 3/4" prop 22* pitch cheap from a friend. I was wondering if you guys think I will overshoot the sweet spot?
The original owner used it mainly as a ski boat, and I think changed the prop accordingly.
1) Performance issue you are trying to correct. too high RPM@WOT running approx 5300 at 50mph, thinking I need to bring that down to 46-4800?
2) Current prop manufacturer, model, aluminum or stainless and as a minimum. Stainless quicksilver
3) Current prop diameter and pitch (required). Diameter approx 14" 19p
4) Wide open throttle RPM and speed with an average load (very helpful)5300 at 50mph
5) Engine/drive make, model, year, and HP Mercruiser 260/Alpha 1 1978 260
6) Boat make model, year, length and weightWellcraft Nova 1978 21'6" 3750 lbs dry.
