Moving Refrigerator

Moved one last night, and laid it down during transport (about 45 min). How long does it have to stand vertical before its safe to power it back up?? Or is that not a concern with modern fridges??

I was always told 24 hours.

Same here. The reason is to allow any oil that got into the cylinders to work its way out so you don't break the valves.

Your doing the right thing LT by waiting. Oil will get into the coils and won't allow proper flow the the refrigerant through the system and or cause the compresser to lock up.
