Careful how you ask that question... I doubt anyone could give you a copy legally. Another option is to use Open Office. It is a free, no strings attached, open-source office suite. It does have a presentation package that will do much of what PowerPoint does and could meet your needs. The presentation package is not as nice as PPT, but its not bad either. tim, no worries, be ware that he is looking to Purchase a licensed and legal copy of this software. Or to be given a licensed copy that will of course be un-installed by the person giving him said software.
I figured such, but it's better safe than sorry. The Open Office idea was a no-cost option that could be obtained immediately, or maybe not, depending on the speed of your internet. In any event, he is all set, so there isn't much to be done.
