MSD Street Fire CD Box - good replacement?

I have a 1977 135 with the electric eye or no points distributor. when the original CD box went out I got the CDI brand replacement, part 115-3301 for about $250. Worked great until the warranty ran out - now it needs to be replaced. I can get the MSD brand street Fire box, part #5520 for around $110. Any thoughts, and will I be able to figure out how to wire it since it has some "extra" wires and the instructions don't say " For Chrysler outboard applications see page 12" .

and do I just keep the coil that came with the CDI unit?

In theory it should work. Depends on if the output signal from the "electric eye" is compatible with the MSD. You should use the MSD coil for best results, however, for initial testing, the original coil should work.
