My 10 hp johnson seahorse runs for a minute and then sputters and dies....QD 23A 1960???? I ran it for about 20 minutes one night and then the next night it started and ran for about 10 minutes.....It seems to get fuel to the carb for a minute but it does not maintain suction????? if I squirt a little gas in the carb it runs for a second....I have removed all the hoses and it seems like there is fuel in all them so no blockages as far as i can tell........there is a spot where 2 feul lines meet one is labeled in and the other out is this the fuel pump???? Is there a diaghram in there that could ahve gone bad???? what do you think.....any help would be appreciated...

Just before it dies, try pumping the fuel line bulb. If this keeps it running then the fuel pump is not working and providing fuel to the engine and it needs attention. Yes, the fuel pump is on the side of the engine with 2 hoses going to it. 1 in from tank and 1 out to carb.
