My 2004 25EH Merc has a fuel problem.

I have cleaned every line and fitting, checked for leaks/plugs in fuel lines, checked for tank filter clog, cleaned fuel filter, removed and cleaned carb, and have not found any problem. It starts up will run at idle and when given throttle it runs for about 5 minutes then dies. It will start up and run at idle, but if given throttle, it dies again. I have gone through this twice. What have I missed ???

How about your primer bulb? Is it flat when the motor dies?

No, it has almost full pressure.

Thanks for trying to help coastalrichard ! I have found more information. If I pump the primer bulb every 3 minutes it will keep running. I must have a leak at the pump or a bad diaphragm. It's too dark to check them now.

Thanks for the help ! It runs fine with a gravity fuel source. I will be shopping for a new diaphragm and carb gaskets.
