My experience with Aluminum Manifolds Salt water Mercruiser 5.7

Just doing some routine maintenance and wanted to share my experience for anyone contemplating aluminum manifolds and risers. These pics are from today after 5 full seasons in the salt from April to December. Full closed cooling system so manifolds have coolant in them but risers are raw water (salt) Risers are perfect. Way better than the cast iron ones would have been. I have owned this boat since 2006 and went through 2 sets of iron risers before I repowered and switched to closed cooling. I flush the Cooling system including the risers with fresh water after every trip and have 2 pencil anodes in each riser that get changed every year. They look good to me.... I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

wire brush and repaint them, install new gaskets and go another 5 years.

I'm really impressed by this. I do not have closed cooling so my manifolds would also need to be salt water cooled. Does anyone have any experience with a full raw water cooling system on Aluminum Manifolds, and risers in salt water?
