This morning in work I managed to catch the handle of a fly press in my face,(a stupid thing to do I now) anyway it smashed my 2 front teeth out and bust up my lip.<br /><br />I had 2 hrs at the A&E and they have done a temp patch up on my teeth, stiched my lip back together and given me an appointment with the Dentist for Friday.<br /><br />The local anisthetic that they used has now worn off, I have taken the pain killers they gave me but they don't seem to be having much effect, in fact it would be fair to say that my face is hurting like hell.<br /><br />I can't smoke, I'm drinking warm milk through a straw and my face looks like I've been 10 rounds with Lennox Lewis.<br /><br />I'm trying hard to think of a time when I felt more sorry for myself than I do now but I can't recall one. 
<br /><br />I went back to the A&E about the pain I was in, they gave me a pain killing shot in my butt (strange place to give it I thought), this did the job, it felt like I was walking 2" off the floor when I left, they also increesed the dose of the Co-Dydramol.<br /><br />When the shot wore off my face was still very painful but not as bad.<br /><br />I spent well over an hour with the dentist on Friday, it turns out I have lost 3 front teeth, the one that hadn't been smashed durring the accident had a crack all the way up its length (the dentist thought that this was were the pain was comming from).<br /><br />The dentist has removed all of the nerves from the teeth and tidied up the sharp edges, he will start work on replacing the teeth as soon as the swelling has gone down in the soft tissue around the jaw, while he had me numbed up he got his nurse to change the dressing on my lip and clean all the dried blood ect away, she said that the A&E had made a very good job of stiching me back together. I may have a bit of a scar on the inside of the lip the outside should not be to bad.<br /><br />The dentist has said that he will have at the very least tempory replacements in before Christmas.<br /><br />I want to thank everyone for there well wishes, they did make me fell better at the time.<br /><br />Your a great bunch of people THANK YOU
