My Family Now Consists of Boat Owners!!!!

My dad has been wanting a boat for 29 years now...and last weekend he FINALLY GOT ONE!

He has always wanted a big sail boat but ultimately decided to go with a motor boat since it would be easier to start off with and would be easier to trailer without a marina slip. He said once he retires he may have to get himself a big a** sail boat though. My pops in one happy camper now!

He got an 18.5 foot sea hunt...year 2003. It has a Yamaha 150 on it and looks pretty darn good.

Congrats to him. That looks like an absolutely brand new boat. Great find.

My dad bought a boat last fall. It's just a little tinny though. I gotta admit, it kinda irritates me because my ENTIRE CHILDHOOD I begged him to get one. Even a little tinny like he got would have been awesome. He finally buys one when I'm an adult and have had my own boat for a decade We won't even get into him getting a big TV and full cable right after I left for college

That's ironic...I practically have to shanghai my 7 year old to go fishing on the boat with me. He'd much rather watch cartoons or play video games. My 4 year old is a lot more into the outdoors though-- I think he's going to be my main fishing buddy when he gets a little older
