It is a 1983 fiberform 21ft fish and ski type boat. I bought it from my fiances dad about two years ago at the family price. it had rotten floors seats and everything else. The engine and electrical equipment was well taken care of though (minus two gauges). last summer i riped out all the floor foam and some stringers. i put in new ply wood and coverd it with fiberglass resin. i also built all the seats from scratch the way i wanted them layed out as the typical layout of a boat like this does not lend well to fishing, storage or mulitple passengers. It has a mercruiser 470 and i love it. i am an aircraft mechanic so fabricating little things and doing maintenance on this engine combo my self really isnt an issue. it doesnt require endless amounts of work just two little fixes and you probably wont ever have to work on it again as long as you own it. mine has lasted since 1983 and i just now put on an alternator. i fabricated the brackets and bought a 105 amp one wire marine alternator on amazon for 65 bucks. it runs absolutley perfect. it sat for about 5 years before i got it so the speedo and rpm guage have given in but i am ok with that for the price i got it. it also has a new outdrive that was put on before it was stored. i dont really have any before pictures but have some i would like to share along the way.
It is impossible to get seats and boat parts here in fairbanks alaska from any of the boat shops as they specialize in aluminum extreame shallow boats for our crazy rivers. so i had to make every little thing for my boat. Shipping from the lower 48 is murder. you can ship things from the tip of florida to seattle wa for free but seattle to fairbanks is 400 minumum for freight. i broke down and bought a sewing machine plywood and some marine vinyle and went to town. also as seen in the pictures my floor is covered in herculiner which should last for ever in my boat with both wear and tear and its ability to seal my floor from any future water damage since the fancy marine non skid paint is unobtainable here.
