My first boat. 79 seastar with a 74 johnson 85hp outboard

Hello, this is my first time using the forum and also my first boat. I'm looking for a service manual for a 85ESL-74B. I also need to purchase and replace the water pump. I see the four bolts to drop the lower unit, but I'm sure there is a little more to it than that. Thanks in advance for any help.

There are more that 4 bolts to take out and the shift rod must be disconnected near the bottom carburetor.----Only bolt there with a 5/8" head must be removed .--Seperate the 2 sides of that arm there.----Best to visit a dealer and get a factory manual before you make expensive mistakes.

Original factory service manuals this old are no longer available from Bombardier dealers. You can still get one from the original publisher at this website: outboardbooks.com Don't settle for a Clymer or Seloc manual.
