Re: My first boat
The manufacturer has a decent name but buying a boat boils down to one thing, MAINTENANCE.
Hull condition, motor/drive condition, battery and electrical condition, trailer and trailer tires are all things that you as the buyer must inspect and feel comfartable about.

If the seller has maintained everything, they will most likely be happy to walk you around the boat/trailer and point out things looked after / replaced / changed / improved, etc..
If things look bad, broken and the owner doesn't want to take you for a demonstration ride on the water, then you will not be wasting any time by RUNNING.

Pride of ownership usually shows but it never hurts to have a qualified marine technician give your boat to be, the once over. After all, it is an investment and it is your money.

Good luck,
Mike.
