Hi Guys

I have purchased a fine boat with 2 Penta dp out drives a 6 cly. 4.3 long block. it is missing an engine. so yes a true basket case. No I am not afraid. The other thing I forgot to mention is it has not run in over 10 years and lives in salt water. one of the props did ca-rode off" can you seance a slight tremble? ok well so far it holds water out and sleeps 6, lol.
can someone please help determine what these numbers mean I live in HB Ca.
Model 431A 4100116957, transom 1101570747, drive 3102070909
Model 431A 4100116955, transom 1101570711, drive 3102070908
for the one missing motor I may find another boat and get the drive too, what do you think maybe just give the boat back?

Can't help with the serial numbers. The engine model numbers are 431a. Pics of the outdrives may help with IDing, They are most likely dp-a models.

Good luck, sounds like you've got your work cut out for you.:)

One suggestion, Ed. Obtain a few part numbers that you are likely to need and price the cost of each part. It's an understatement to say that Volvo Penta parts are costly. Probably you will be paying for every social program in Sweden plus the monetary exchange rate.

I needed a slotted drain plug for my Penta DP-E sterndrive. The quoted cost was $47.00 US. This is just a stainless steel drain plug, nothing exotic except it's Volvo Penta. Good luck with your project, my friend.
