My Grandfather left me his Starcraft Starfish 12. I don't know much about boats. My rowing merit badge was long ago - I remembered how to row (mostly) but I don't remember all the names of the areas of the boat.

The serial number is 67-6-19211. I'm assuming it was built in 1967, is that correct? It came with an Eska Golden Jet 7 outboard motor that I cleaned up, rebuilt and it runs pretty good, if a bit loud. I have yet to use the motor in the water. :(

I need some replacement parts. Can anyone suggest a web site that might have parts for such an old boat? The nose of the bow is broken (looks to be cast aluminum) and the bracket for the rearmost (stern) seat is broken.

Welcome aboard, HRTKD.

My 66 serial number starts with a 66. Back in that era that's how Starcraft did it.

Put up some pics of the broken parts. A guy here found some parts were still in the SC supply chain because some of the small boats haven't changed over the years. You may have to fabricate some parts.

Thanks for the welcome to the forum.

Here is a picture of the nose of the boat where I think I need a new part:

This is the existing seat bracket that is OK:

Oh, all the red spots on the boat are NOT blood (mine or the fish). It's paint. This boat spent the last few years upside down under a wood deck.

can you put some pics up of the whole boat? Id say both pieces should be able to be fab'd. The bow piece looks like it wouldnt be difficult to replace with well sealed wood, and the seat bracket with some angle. But with out over pic of the boat my guessing on size/dimensions can be off. Im an apprentice semi amateur professional.
