I got a phone call about 45 minutes ago tha my godfather/uncle passed away at 84 y/o. I admired Uncle Johnny, he taught me no matter how bad life gets things will get better, born in Poland he was a young man when the Nazi's ran thru Poland at the start of WW2, he was arrested on and suspision of being a partsion and was sent to Aushwitz in 1943 and was pulled out to become forced labor til the Soviets made there way thru. The Soviets were eliminating Polish undergroung/partsions because they were seen as a threat, what excatctly happened I not sure he was careful when the kids were around I have heard bits a pieces but my uncle and 3 other killed a Soviet officer and 2 guards and some how he was smuggled to Sweden to England then to the US in 49, he married my dads sister and raised 2 daughter and held a good job with the state. I'm going to miss him, one thing the number on his forearm he said was his ticket to heaven, because he was all ready in hell..........may god rest your soul
