I've been casually looking for a new boat for a few months now. I figured even if it was a project, I'd get it if the right deal came along. Well, the right deal came along. I found this browsing neighboring states craiglist, and was expecting a total project. When I got to pick up the boat, I was surprised. No rot, Transom solid. Good gelcoat.
The guy bought it for the motor and trolling motor, from a widow whos husband had just repowered the boat a few months before he passed away. The new owner just wanted it out of his garage, and I was happy to help.
Im going to have the trailer sandblasted and rhino lined, order a fish finder for the console, and recarpet the boat. I need to get the oxidation off the gelcoat. I also added my motor, jackplate, and rewired everythign so I knew exactly what was going on.
Best part of all this? Including gas to go get it, and wiring supplies, I'm $565 in this boat.
1987 glassport bass scalper. 17' long, 77" beam. johnson 115 v4, 4" jackplate. 36v motorguide tm.
