My rear live well makes water

I have just purchased a new creastliner 1750 fish hawk and a question I have is ....why does my rear live well let water in before I install the recirculator or engauge the fill switch???? And it also does not seem to drain all the way....even out of the water. Weird.

Most likely the bottom of the live well is below the water line in the lake. Water may be entering the fill hose to fill to that level. Plug the water fill line and see how dry it is.

Mine does that if I have the drain plug out....

There shouldn't be a need to plug the fill tube....it should have a valve that is either open or closed so that you don't have to fill up both livewells each time you hit the switch.
