3 daily visitors to my upstairs balcony (4-7pm). Anyone else have photos of wildlife visiting their home?

Cute picture....
I only have a story of a friend.. This so funny...
He called me one early morning to tell me he figured out why the cat food was gone all the time at his moms house.. Now his mom is in her 80"s. He turns on the back porch light and got his mom up see the all the critters.. She was like wow we have a lot of cats out here.. He says, No mom those airn't cats they're coons, big coons.. Apperately there where about 25 and the cats were hiding under the house.. He's been trying to convience her to bring the food in at nite.. I don't think that is a problem anymore.. But the next night they tore all the plants up and beat up the little figures that sit on the back porch. I guess you could say the kitchen buffet was closed.. The over nite visitors weren't to pleased..

Re: My wildlife

These 3 youngsters (about 6 months old) started using my upstairs balcony deck about a month ago as a safe place to take their afternoon nap. They used to nap 60 feet up into the big cedar tree behind them in the photo. I guess they discovered that my 2nd floor deck was still safe from coyotes and a lot more comfortable. :)

According to my wife if you really want to have some fun... place a pan of water out there and a few marshmallows. The racoons will wash the marshmallows before they eat they and they will turn into a sticky taffy like goo. Fun to watch them play and lick off all the goo.

Then again, they may NEVER leave once they are fed!

we used to feed them sugar cubes, took them a few days but eventually they learned to eat them then drink. but it was funny to watch them while it lasted:)
the expressions on the face when the "food" dissolved in their paws :)

Re: My wildlife

My wife calls me from work yesterday and says " guess what I'm doing right now...I'm petting a deer". Turns out a doe decided to stick her head through the rails of a room balcony (at the Waters edge inn where my wife works)looking for a free snack. The day before she said she was watching 3 otters play and that same day some ducks came in and laid around the pool.

One More Cast, great photo, your yard looks like Western Washington/Oregon, same trees and colors, real nice.

Kagee, those two wild ones look pretty happy.

Dolluper, funny moose pics, reminds me of a poem...

Them Moose Goosers by: Mason Williams

How about Them Moose Goosers,
Ain't they recluse?
Up in them boondocks
Goosin' them moose.

Goosin' them huge moose,
Goosin' them tiny,
Goosin' them meadow-moose,
In they hiny.

Look at Them Moose Goosers,
Ain't they dumb?
Some use an umbrella,
Some use a thumb.

Them obtuse Moose Goosers,
Sneakin' through the woods,
Pokin' them snoozy moose
In they goods.

How to be a Moose Gooser?
I'll turn ye puce.
Gitchy gooser loose and
Rouse a drowsy moose!

Also reminded me of my Yellowstone vacation years ago when my wife and I drove 60 miles one night out looking for a moose. Finding none we returned to our hotel at Yellowstone Lake Lodge only to find one standing in the parking lot waiting for us as we pulled in.
