Mystery hose

Hello,
I have a 2001 5.7L GS Volvo Penta. On the starboard side of the engine there is a hose just laying outside of the bilge . The end of the hose is cut at an angle. The other end goes under the engine. Is this a hose for draining the oil if you dont want to pump it out?

Follow it to the end and see where it hooks?

Maybe a drain line for the bellhousing.
